How do I rent a POA Facility for private events?
The Racquet Club is available for Members use year-round and the Pavilion is available seasonally from May 15th-Oct 15th. Members In Good Standing can download the Pavilion Club Contract or the Racquet Club Contract in their Member portal or contact the Admin Office for details.
Is the Conference Room available to LSPOA Members?

Yes, members can Contact the office or POA Security for access to the Conference Room, between 10am-9pm Mon-Sun, if it is not rented for private use. Members who would like the Conference Room for private use can download the Conference Room Contract in the Member Portal or Contact the Admin Office for details. Must have membership Card or Guest Pass

When is the Game Room available?

The Game Room is available Mon-Sun 10a-10p at no charge. Members may call Security for access. *If the Racquet Club is rented for a private event the Game Room will not be available. Must have membership Card or Guest Pass

How do I join a Tennis or Pickleball league?

Pickleball: Mon & Fri 9a-12p/Wed 10a-12p. Tennis: Tues & Thurs 9am/Wed 8a-10a. Meet at the Tennis Court, located at the Beach Club Complex and be ready to play. All welcome! (Pickleball players may have extra paddles!)

What is there to do at Lakewood Shores?

The POA has several parks for walking and playing, 3 private beaches, water toys, bicycles, tennis & basketball courts, a game room, facilities available for private events, group activities (cards, Mahjong, Euchre, Pickleball, Tennis) and a restaurant/ bar for Members Only. Special Member Events are also held throughout the year.

Will security check on my house while I am away?

Yes, LSPOA Security performs house walks and drive-bys. Members can download the House Check Contract in the Member Portal or call the office for details.

How do I use the water toys and bicycles?

During business hours members may call Security for access to water toys & other recreational equipment. If Security is busy or can not be reached, please call the Admin Office. Must have membership Card or Guest Pass

Is there a boat launch on Cedar Lake?

There is a public boat launch just North of the POA Beach Club at Cedar Lake Dr and Lake To Lake Rd.

Are Golf Carts/ Side by Sides allowed in POA?

Yes. ATV’s & UTV’s are allowed. Vehicles are not allowed on POA Lawns, please stick to designated trailheads and/or County roads. POA roads are County roads, therefore drivers must follow County & Township Rules & Regulations that pertain to ATV’s & UTV’s.

As a Member do I have access to Lakewood Shores Golf Course?

Lakewood Shores Golf Resort is open to the Public. Lakewood Shores Members receive the Local Resident rate.

Is hunting allowed in the POA?

The POA falls under hunting regulations put forth by the State of Michigan, Iosco County & Oscoda Township. No person may hunt with a firearm within 450 feet of an occupied building, dwelling, house, residence or cabin. Non-member hunting is prohibited.

Am I allowed to have guests?

Guests may accompany Members to events & activities, access amenities and patron the Beach Club Restaurant. Guests are required to have a Guest Pass if the member is not present. Members In Good Standing may request Guest Passes for family & friends by calling the POA Admin Office.

How do I become a member

To be a Lakewood Shores Member you must own property within the Lakewood Shores POA. As a property owner you are automatically a member.

Who maintains POA roads

The Iosco County Road Commission maintains POA roads. If you have concerns or questions, regarding the roads, you may call 989-362-4433.

What do my maintenance fees pay for?

Annual Maintenance fees pay for Administration Services, maintenance and daily upkeep of communal buildings and grounds which includes, parks, beaches, recreational equipment, Event facilities, lawns, parking lots, sidewalks, as well as Storage & Marina facilities.
